(NRCC News) – The weaponization of federal government agencies by Democrats and the Deep State has finally been exposed. The fight for justice is officially on now that Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives but they aren’t the only ones fighting the corruption.
Last week, the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) filed its opening brief in the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit in its lawsuit against partisan hack Attorney General Merrick Garland.
The lawsuit is in response to Garland instructing federal agencies to treat concerned parents who speak at public school board meetings against the “woke” agenda like domestic terrorists.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of parents from Loudoun County, Virginia and Saline, Michigan.
The AFLC said in their opening brief:
“The Attorney General of the United States (‘AG’) has weaponized the vast law enforcement resources of the federal government to target parents, including Plaintiffs-Appellants (“Plaintiffs”), and other private citizens who publicly oppose the progressive and immoral agenda being forced upon their children in various school districts across the country, specifically including the school districts in Loudoun County, Virginia, and Saline, Michigan. The AG has pejoratively designated these parents and private citizens as ‘threats’ and ‘domestic terrorists,’ deeming them worthy of investigation and surveillance by the federal government. This Orwellian policy violates Plaintiffs’ fundamental rights protected by the U.S. Constitution and federal statutory law.”
This lawsuit coincides with the House establishing the “Weaponization of the Federal Government” panel dedicated to investigating the abuse of power within the federal government.
As you likely recall, Garland announced on October 4, 2021, that he was calling on the FBI and federal prosecutors to use the power of the federal government’s criminal justice system to target and persecute parents who dare to speak out against the indoctrination of their children with radical leftist curricula.
Garland created this new policy using a propaganda letter written by the members of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) which asserted that parents who passionately speak at board meetings in defense of their children are “domestic terrorists.”
It was discovered, however, that the letter from the NSBA was actually orchestrated by the Biden regime so that they would have pretext for the policy since federal agencies like the FBI and DOJ have no jurisdiction in local law enforcement matters. By having parents labeled as “domestic terrorists” it gave the federal government the jurisdiction. Just another scheme by the regime to target political dissidents.

After the policy was announced, the FBI created a “threat tag” in order to track and investigate parents who the federal government determines to be a threat.
An October 20, 2021, internal email from the FBI’s criminal and counterterrorism divisions instructed agents to use the threat tag “EDUOFFICIALS” when investigating alleged “threats” directed at education officials.
The AFLC further explains:
“This email also directs FBI agents to consider whether the activity being investigated violates federal law and what the potential “motivation” is behind it, demonstrating that the government will consider the viewpoints (i.e., “motivation”) of those it is investigating as part of the Attorney General’s policy. Reports have also surfaced that federal agents have been present at school board meetings.”
The AFLC alleges in their lawsuit that this “weaponization” of the DOJ and FBI violates federal constitutional and statutory law.
Just like the left’s Jan. 6 narrative that Trump supporters attempted to carry out an insurrection, this is just another attempt by the regime to target, harass and prosecute conservatives. It’s shameful and now Republicans are finally in a position to hold them accountable.
