(NRCC News) – It appears that conservatives finally have a win. It’s been reported that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has released thousands of hours of video surveillance from the Jan. 6 Capitol incident to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
On Monday, Axios divulged that McCarthy “has given Fox News’ Tucker Carlson exclusive access to 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from the Jan. 6 riot,” which the report credited as coming from “McCarthy sources.”
“Carlson TV producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin digging through the trove, which includes multiple camera angles from all over Capitol grounds,” wrote Mike Allen for Axios. “Excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks.”
Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a tweet hailing McCarthy’s reported release of the previously withheld security video.
“For all of you that doubted we would release the tapes. Here you go!” Greene tweeted with a link to the Allen report.

Matt Gaetz has said that McCarthy vowed to release the footage during his efforts to become House Speaker.
It’s about time this footage was released to the American people. The only “official” information has been a totally biased narrative from the now defunct January 6 select committee, which was nothing more than a panel of bona-fide Trump haters hand-picked by Nancy Pelosi.
The committee had access to the video footage but refused to allow the American people to see anything that didn’t support their narrative. Democrats have claimed releasing the video would be a security risk but that’s complete and utter nonsense.
The release of the video footage to Tucker Carlson and his producers has been confirmed by Fox News and viewers can expect to see snippets in the coming days.
Carlson has been an outspoken critic of the left’s narrative of the Jan. 6 events and has routinely demanded that Congress release the footage. He’s called out the left’s story and cast doubt on their version of events. He’s told the real truth about the deaths of several police officers that Democrats have attributed to the riots and has regularly given a voice to the loved ones of murdered Trump supporter, Ashli Babbitt.
The top-rated prime time host told Axios: “If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6. By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.”
Democrats are, of course, having a meltdown over the development with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) calling Carlson a “pro-Putin, pro-Orban, pro-autocrat propagandist” and slammed McCarthy for allowing him access to the tapes.
Democrats are right to panic. Their web of lies is soon to unravel and we can only hope they will be held accountable.
There couldn’t be a more competent, worthy recipient to handle this footage and convey the truth of what is uncovered.
