(NRCC News) – Joe Biden has spent the last 2 years shamelessly lying right to the faces of the American people. He’s lied about everything from personal family experiences to the COVID shots to the economy to the border. He’s sold out the US to foreign powers like Ukraine and China, and is a disgrace to the office.
Biden is set to deliver his State of the Union address Tuesday and while no one is concerned that the new Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), is going to rip up Biden’s speech, not everyone in Congress is planning on showing up.
Can you blame them? It’s honestly difficult to to imagine how any self-respecting Republican member of Congress with even a shred of integrity could attend the address and sit there while Biden tells lie after lie and the Democrats applaud and give standing ovations.
Breitbart reports, Republican Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois has been vocal about her unwillingness to attend the SOTU address. She says she’s not going to show up because she doesn’t want to have to sit and listen to Biden’s lies.
“I will not be attending. I do not plan to show up to and listen to him continue to lie,” she said.
“I’m not going to sit there and listen to him lie and then watch the media and other members of Congress applaud him [and] his lies,” Miller remarked.
And in listing Biden’s lies, she was very specific.
“Whether it’s the border, claiming that our border is secure while we are being invaded. We — by the time his presidency is over, we could have 12 to 14 million terrorists, fentanyl dealers, child traffickers and an entire welfare state entering our country,” according to Miller.
“He’s lied about our energy prices, saying he supports gas and energy when on day one he canceled the Keystone Pipeline, and his EPA is targeting American energy producers. I mean, I could go on and on with his lies.”
The worst part is how Democrats cheer him on. The entire Democratic Party is made up of a bunch of liars and snake oil salesmen (and women, of course).
This is Miller’s second term representing Illinois House District 15, a traditionally Republican district in the center of the state.
Miller shared on Twitter that she won’t be attending the address, “Joe Biden lied about the border being secure. He lied about inflation. He lied about gas prices. He lied about vaccine mandates. He lied about taking classified documents. I will NOT sit there while Congress & “reporters” clap for his lies!”

American Enterprise Institute Fellow Marc Thiessen recently compiled Biden’s lies in an op-ed at The Washington Post, a surprising place to find such information. Nonetheless, Thiessen pointed out that over his several decades in American politics Biden has falsely:
-Represented events in the life story of a British politician as his own
-Claimed to be the first in his family to go to college
-Said he had three college degrees
-Claimed to have received an outstanding student award
-Asserted he finished in the top half of his law school class
-Claimed to have written numerous law school articles on the right to privacy
-Reported numerous arrests for standing up for the right thing, including civil rights, and for sneaking into a women’s dormitory in college and sneaking into the U.S. Capitol
-Said he was arrested in South Africa for trying to visit Nelson Mandela in prison
-Claimed to have been in serious danger in war zones
-Stated he met with Communist China leader Deng Xiaoping, resulting in China joining the 2016 Paris climate accord — even though Deng died in 1997
-Claimed 17,000 miles of travel with China’s president, Xi Jinping
-Said he passed student loan forgiveness, although Congress never approved it
-Claimed he substantially cut the federal debt and that real incomes have increased
Let’s also not forget how he lied about getting his uncle the Purple star at the behest of his father after he became the vice president under Obama despite both his father and uncle having passed away by that time. He’s also routinely lied about the economy, racial issues, the border, Afghanistan and Ukraine and, perhaps most importantly, his knowledge of and involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings.
It seems Biden has had a non-existent relationship with the truth.
The truly shocking and frustrating part is that the media and the entire Democratic Party just go right along with all his lies. It would take barely any effort at all for mainstream media outlets to verify or disprove his falsehoods yet they choose not to and instead cheer him on and attack anyone who dares expose the truth.
We applaud Miller for taking a stand and refusing to sit through Biden telling even more lies. Her seat won’t be empty, however. She gave it to a military colonel who was forced to retire after refusing to take the COVID shots.
