(NRCC News) – With Republicans now taking control of the House of Representatives, it’s highly unlikely that President Joe Biden is going to be able to get a lot of the pieces of his agenda passed into law over the course of the second half of his term in office, which is good news for Americans who have been ravaged by the extremely bad economic policies of the current administration.
And it’s not only the economy Biden has wrecked, but individual liberty as well. We are less free now than when Trump was in office, that much is for sure.
However, that’s not the only benefit of having the House in GOP control. There are going to be a number of investigations launched into various issues of corruption that should have been looked into a long time ago, such as the president’s connection with his son Hunter’s business dealings. And, as it turns out, Republicans might be seeking to impeach someone and give them the boot from office. And no, it’s not Biden. I mean, yes, the GOP is looking into that possibility as well, but there’s someone else who might be on the list as well.
“Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, is expected to chair the most powerful investigative panel in the chamber. Comer has vowed to aggressively investigate Hunter Biden’s financial dealings and compliance with tax laws. Republicans have questioned whether Hunter Biden has compromised the presidency and national security through his business dealings in China and Ukraine,” USA Today writers Ken Tran and Ledyard King wrote for the publication.
“The reason we are investigating Hunter Biden is because we believe he is a national security threat. But we are also concerned that Hunter’s shady business dealings have compromised Joe Biden,” Comer went on to say during an interview with Fox News back in October.
There’s also the possibility that the GOP will open up investigations into the troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, as well as the Justice Department. McCarthy has promised that he will open up an inquiry into the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
“When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts and leave no stone unturned,” McCarthy stated.

“Some House Republicans have been clamoring to impeach Biden if the GOP takes control of the House. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., one of the Republican Conference’s most fiercely outspoken members, has introduced articles of impeachment against Biden multiple times,” Tran said in the report.
McCarthy, however, has attempted to take a more chill response to all the talk of impeachment, telling journalists, “We will not play politics with it.”
House Republicans are tip-toeing on eggshells when it comes to the topic of impeachment. Taking such a course of action would most definitely get the mass media spotlight shined on them and could end up blowing up in their faces if voters aren’t happy with the move. Several of these individuals were in office when Clinton was impeached back in the 1990s. During that period of time the Republican Party actually lost some congressional seats and, for whatever reason, the popularity of the president actually received a boost.
It’s important to keep in mind that even if Biden were to be impeached in the House, there would still be a trial in the Senate. Two-thirds of that chamber would be needed to convict Biden, which is basically impossible to reach at this point.
“Another possible impeachment target would be two of Biden’s Cabinet members: Attorney General Merrick Garland, for the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents; and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, for the administration’s handling of the record migrant surge on the Southern border,” Tran noted.

Both Garland and Mayorkas have earned a boot to the backside due to their failure to faithfully discharge the duties of their respective offices. Part of Garland’s job is to ensure that the law of the land is applied equally to the people of this country. Instead, he’s helped transform the FBI into a political weapon that is being used to intimidate conservatives into being silent and not speaking out against the evil and corruption of the progressive agenda.
And, of course, Mayorkas has done nothing to put a stop to the egregious border crisis that is currently unfolding in southern states. Millions of illegal aliens have swarmed into the country, prompting some areas to proclaim invasion status, while also imploring the federal government to do its actual job and enforce immigration law and secure the border to prevent more people from entering the U.S.
It’s time for these guys to go.
